Reality is, daily, my makeup routine consists of filled-in eyebrows, blush (so I don’t look like the walking dead) and tinted lip balm or lip oil. I’ve learned to embrace my dark, hollowed-out under-eyes more, because ageing is a privilege not everyone gets. Two days a week, I attend church functions or volunteer, and I enjoy playing with makeup. Sundays, I tend to stick to barely there, lightweight makeup, but Mondays and Thursdays are my days to enjoy playing with makeup. Sometimes it’s natural makeup, and sometimes it’s soft glam. The point is, I just enjoy the therapy of taking my time and just having fun playing around. Highlight and mascara are products I tend to avoid on my day-to-day bare skin days, but I do see the power of how they, along with a statement lip, can really complete a look and pull everything together.
