Antipodes Skincare is one of the very few brands that I can say with confidence, I’ve enjoyed every product that I’ve tried! I first discovered Antipodes back in 2016 and was intrigued by everything the brand stands for. Elizabeth Barbalich who founded Antipodes had the desire to create an innovative beauty brand that was not only made of premium-quality clean & organic ingredients, but was also scientifically validated. All of Antipodes ingredients are sustainably sourced locally from their Native Country of New Zealand, and all packaging is sustainable and recyclable, meaning there is zero waste. Antipodes really pride themselves on being an Eco-conscious, premium quality brand for the everyday woman who doesn’t want to have to overthink her daily routine.
I love how transparent they are on their Instagram account, highlighting the benefits of the ingredients within their products, and even showing us how each product can be used, and how they are made in house. I love that they allow the science behind the products to speak for themselves, rather than over marketing a specific ingredient that’s used in a small quantity to reap a bigger profit margin. The transparency makes me respect the brand so much more. It’s an added bonus that they are also a Cruelty-Free brand and most of their products are vegetarian.
I decided to split this post into two parts; Part 1 on the wash off products and part 2 on the treatment products. Now lets talk about the products I have tried in their line….

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask – £29 for 75ml
Starting off with Antipodes’ most cult award-winning product the Aura Manuka Honey Mask. A mask that promises to bring peace and balance to your aura. This antioxidant-rich mask helps to replenish, soothe and hydrate all at the same time. With a simplistic yet effective ingredients list of Active Manuka Honey, Ruby Red Pohutukawa, Vinanza Grape and Glycerin. The mask helps to soothe, healing blemishes and skin irritations with its antibacterial properties, while it’s humectant properties leave the skin nourished. I actually reach for this mask whenever I feel that my skin barrier feels compromised and needs a little TLC. It’s also great for spot treating any of those painful cystic blemishes that just don’t want to surface. The scent is heavenly made up of Vanilla pod and Mandarin. I’ve got through about 7 tubes over the years and there will always be a tube in my bathroom cabinet.

Antipodes Reincarnation Pure Facial Polish & Exfoliator – £26 for 75ml
This gentle physical exfoliator uses jojoba beads to very gently buff away the top layer of skin. Where most exfoliators feel a little abrasive and leave the skin feeling compromised, this leaves the skin feeling incredibly nourished and soothed. The jojoba beads are minuscule, they can barely been seen, as you can see in the swatch below. Kaolin helps to remove impurities from pores. Avocado oil and marigold bloom oil work together in perfect harmony to help nourish the skin, and Carrot Seed Extract helps to revitalize the skins surface, leaving you with a smoother, refreshed complexion. This exfoliator is so finely milled and gentle, you could use it daily. I really enjoy using this on my Sunday skincare pamper days, when I am not using a chemical exfoliant and want my skin to be extra nourished. Again just like the Aura mask it has a beautiful orange aroma.
Directions: Gently blend into damp skin whenever your skin calls for a new life. Rinse well with warm water or remove with a damp washcloth.
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Prunus armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Glycerine, Cetearyl Glucoside, Cetearyl Alcohol, Titanium Dioxide, Persea gratissima (Avocado Pear) Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) Esters, Cetearyl Alcohol, Kaolin, Calendula officinalis (Calendula/Marigold) Flower Oil, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Daucus carota (Carrot) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Vitis vinifera (Vinanza® Grape) Seed Extract. Antipodes Grace Gentle Cream Cleanser – £28 for 120ml
The Antipodes Grace Gentle Cream Cleanser is another long-time favourite of mine. It’s been formulated to clear impurities and remove your makeup ‘gracefully’. Despite having oily-combination skin, I love using cream cleansers because they feel so gentle on my skin, kind of like a mini face treatment. Especially during the winter months where my skin leans more dry. Grace is a thick creamy texture, which feels very luxurious on the skin. It features one of my favourite anti-inflammatory ingredients Calendula as well as Vinanza Oxifend (grape extract). Avocado oil and Jojoba oil help to help add nutrients and leave the skin feeling really soothed. What I love the most about the Grace Cream Cleanser is that it always leaves my skin feeling ultra soft and nourished, whether my skin is perfectly happy or feeling a little sensitive or compromised. I would describe it as a warm hug for the face. Those with dry, sensitive and even mature skin types will love this. A little really goes a long way too, so this cleanser lasts me months.
Directions: Apply the Cleanser in circular motions onto a dry face and neck, Enjoy massaging into the skin, then rinse well with warm water.
Ingredients: Aqua (Waiwera® artesian water), glycerin, sclerotium gum (amigel), lavandula angustifolia (lavender flower distillate*), buxus chinensis (jojoba oil*), persea gratissima (avocado oil*), macadamia ternifolia (macadamia nut oil*), calendula officinalis (marigold / Calendula flower oil), glyceryl stearate, vitis vinifera (Vinanza Oxifend® pinot noir grape extract), tocopherol (Vitamin E), cetearyl alcohol, naticide (natural preservative & fragrance) † Component of essential oil * Certified Organic Component

Antipodes Halo Skin Brightening Facial Mud Mask – £29 for 75g (this has now been repackaged)
Breakouts have met their match with the Halo skin-brightening mask. Instantly your greeted by the beautiful and fresh scent of Peonies. Note, that if you are sensitive to strong scents this might be a little overwhelming for you. Other ingredients like New Zealand thermal mud add much needed minerals, Kaolin helps to clean out pores, Vinanza Grape and Kiwi help to brighten the complexion and Peony Flower helps to soothe. Every time I use this mask my skin feels refreshed and revitalized. Like with most mud masks it dries down hard, so I like to remove gently with a warm washcloth or mist ever few minutes with water. My skin always looks clearer, with a reduction in sebum (oil) and it looks brighter and feels super soft. It’s one of the few mud masks I love when my skin is dryer in the winter months. Though all skin types could use this, I would say it’s most beneficial for those with normal, combination and oily skin who deal with congestion. Antipodes recommends using twice a week, I use as and when needed.
Note the packaging of this has changed to Antipode’s signature cream metal tubes, so a lot of retailers are awaiting on the new stock.
Directions: Apply a thick layer over cleansed skin twice a week or when skin calls. Leave on for 15 minutes then rinse off thoroughly with warm water.

Antipodes joined the likes of Oskia, Jane Scrivner, Kypris, Grown Alchemist and Cosrx as one of the few brands that I’ve loved every product I’ve tested. I still have so many of their products on my wish list like their Gospel Vitamin C and Juliet Brightening Gel Cleansers. The Grapeseed Butter cleanser sounds like winter time heaven. Then there’s still some facial serums I would love to try like the Eve Bio-Retinol Line Reduction Serum, the Credo Probiotic Ferment Revitalise Serum and the Glow Vitamin C Daily serum. I’ve yet to try any of their eye creams and have the Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream and the Kiwi Seed Gold Luminous Eye Cream on my wish list too. I love Antipodes have a great price point for Green Beauty products, and I love that each new product they bring out is well thought about and fits in perfectly with the rest of their range. Up to 18 months of research and development is involved in each Antipodes product before releasing. Every product is naturally made, suitable for vegetarians and cruelty free.
